WRITING

This summer is going to be great. First, I'm going to play the piano in a concert in June. Then, some of my classmates are going to sing two songs. Second, in July I'm going to swim everyday in my neighbour's pool, so that I won't feel hot and tired. And beacuse we have homework, I'll do 1 hour everyday, and read books, as well. Finally, the biggest treat for the summer, is that I'm going to travel to England with my parents and my sister, to visit my family. And while we're there, my parents are going to go to London, and stay for a few days. My sister and I are going to help our grandparents in the Bed & Breakfast.

WRITING

One day, a terrible thing happened. A tsunami destroyed our entire town. It was awful! It happened while I was at school, the 21st of February 2005. I was having a Maths class with my classroom mates when suddenly we felt an enormous tremble on the floor and everything started shaking.

I looked out of the window and I could see a really big wave, about one or two km away that was making a big shadow on top of my town. I suddenly screamed in horror. All my classmates and I were absolutely terrified. In the 30 minutes the whole school was evacuated. Everyone ran far away to the top of the hill to be safe. A few hours later, all the trembling and frightening things stopped.

All my classmates were anxious. After that we couldn’t stop talking about it and some people cried thinking about what might have happened to their town. I felt really, really sad because when we returned to our homes, they were all gone and destroyed in to pieces. I couldn’t imagine how it all that had happened. Then all the police, doctors, ambulances… came to check on how we all were and if anybody was hurt. A few years later we had new special homes so that if it happened again, our town wouldn’t be in such bad conditions. Lots and lots of people helped our town to get back to normal. Since then, nothing has happened, YET!!!

ELECTRONIC GADGETS

My favourite electronic gadget is the laptop. It's similar to the computer but it's smaller and doesn't need separate complements. It's all on the laptop. It's very convenient, because you can take it everywhere you want without cables because it has a rechargeable battery for when it runs out. It's more modern than the computer because the mouse moves when you touch it with your finger, even so you can use a normal mouse by connecting it to the USB port and as well it's much faster than the computer.
There are lots of types of laptops for instance there are some laptops that you only use to watch films. Normally, all laptops have the same structure: they're like books that when you open one it has two sections; one is the screen and the other one is the keyboard. The keyboard has got the same buttons as any computer, but unlike the computer which has one part for letters and another part for numbers, the keyboard on the laptop has got it all together.
I normally use it to do my homework and projects for school. My secondary school has got a web that I usually check nearly every day, to see if there is homework to do. I also use Internet to send e-mails to my family, look for information, watch videos, listen to music..., and also to play games and download programmes, although I rarely do this.
I think the laptop is very useful not just for the Internet or for doing homework, but it is also useful for other things, like seeing what's on at the cinema or what my favourite singer is doing or what time a certain TV programme starts!

STORY

STORY

One day a group of friends went on an excursion to stay for three days in the forest. They arrived on a mountain where there weren’t any trees, only soil. They decided to sleep there, so before it was bedtime they played hide and seek. At that moment, the group heard a very loud noise that was coming from the forest. The group started to tremble because they were very scared. But they wanted to find out what that noise was, so they walked into the forest quietly. When they were walking in the forest they heard it again, but this time the noise was nearer. They stayed still for a moment and they saw that the bush next to them was shaking. Next, they started to scream and shout but they didn’t run away. It was all dark and they couldn’t hardly see anything. After that, they saw a pair of broken glasses on the floor. The group couldn’t see them very well but they said they were very familiar. Suddenly, they saw a hand moving under the bush and started screaming again, they were very, very horrified. Three minutes later, they heard a voice saying “Where are my glasses?”. They saw a boy on the floor looking for something. It was Tim!, a member of the group that had lost his glasses.
Finally all the group was relaxed again. They always remembered that scary game of hide and seek.

MY STYLE

MY STYLE
What I wear is very important to me. I like to look nice and to be dressed for the occasion. I like to look informal for school but also to feel comfortable. For shoes I like wearing boots in winter and sandals in summer.

Though there isn’t a particular celebrity who wears my style, she has to be fashionable but not too over the top.

I usually wear lighter colours in the summer like, white, pink, blue an in the winter darker colours like purple, brown and black, but I generally wear a bit of everything.

At the weekend I wear more skirts and I dress up a bit more. I love jewellery and accessories and I like to wear them to suit my clothes. I always wear jeans for school with a plain or pattern T-shirts and a cotton cardigan so I can take it off if I’m too warm.

Perhaps I am different from the rest because I don’t strictly follow the fashion. I buy clothes if I like them, not because they are the latest thing. Also I don’t like buying designer makes because I think they are far too expensive and it is ridiculous to spend so much money on clothes.

If clothes show our personality, then I am cheerful and easy going.
